On May 7, 2010, CIF passed Bylaw 313 that made sweeping changes to help save student-athlete’s lives. This is an interesting one. CIF Bluebook 2009 Article 190, Section 1928.2 states that if it is a playoff games a licensed medical doctor, team doctor, or primary health provider designated by the team shall be in attendance at all playoff games.

California Education Code Section 49451 allows for parents or guardians to exempt their child/student from having a physical exam.
